Welcome to Unik Studio. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("Client", "you", or "your") and Unik Studio ("we", "us", or "our") when you access our website, submit an enquiry, book a consultation, or engage us for photography, cinematography, or related creative services. Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or proceed with a booking.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By browsing our website, submitting forms, communicating with our team, or signing a proposal, you confirm that you are at least eighteen years of age, have the legal capacity to enter a contract, and that any information you provide is accurate and complete. If you act on behalf of another person or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes were last published. Material changes will be posted on this website. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires explicit consent.
2. Services we provide
Unik Studio offers photography, cinematography, drone coverage where permitted, album design, gallery delivery, and related production services as described on our website, in proposals, or in written agreements. Service scope—including dates, locations, crew size, hours of coverage, editing style, and deliverable formats—is confirmed in your quotation, booking confirmation, or signed contract.
Creative services are subjective by nature. While we follow industry standards and the specifications in your agreement, we do not guarantee that every image or frame will meet personal taste. We will, however, deliver work consistent with the package you purchased and the creative brief we agreed upon.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking if we believe the assignment would be unsafe, unlawful, discriminatory, or incompatible with our brand values, or if required permits, venue rules, or weather conditions make execution impractical. In such cases we will discuss alternatives or refunds as set out in your contract.
3. Enquiries, consultations, and bookings
Website forms and consultation requests create a lead in our studio system; they do not by themselves constitute a confirmed booking. A project is confirmed only when you accept a written proposal, pay any required retainer, and receive written confirmation from Unik Studio.
You agree to provide timely information we need to plan your project, including event schedules, venue contacts, shot lists where applicable, access times, parking details, and any restrictions imposed by venues or authorities. Delays or missing information may reduce coverage or require additional fees for extended time or rescheduling.
Date holds are temporary until retainer payment is received. Popular dates may be released if payment deadlines are missed. We will communicate hold expiry clearly in your proposal.
4. Fees, payments, and taxes
Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise. Quotes are valid for the period stated on the proposal. Packages may include specified deliverables; items not listed are considered add-ons and may be billed separately.
Unless your contract states differently, a non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date. Remaining balances are due according to the payment schedule in your invoice. Late payments may pause editing, gallery access, or delivery until the account is settled.
Government taxes, travel beyond agreed zones, accommodation, meals for crew on multi-day assignments, parking, tolls, permit fees, rush editing, raw file release, and additional copies of albums or prints are typically excluded unless explicitly included. You are responsible for applicable taxes unless we state that tax is included.
We may use reputable third-party payment processors. By paying online, you also agree to their terms. We do not store full card numbers on our servers when payments are handled by a certified provider.
5. Cancellations, rescheduling, and force majeure
Cancellation and rescheduling terms are specified in your signed agreement. Retainers compensate us for date reservation, planning, and opportunity cost. If you cancel, the retainer is generally non-refundable. If we cancel for reasons within our control, we will offer a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered services or assist with a suitable replacement artist where possible.
Rescheduling is subject to availability. One reasonable reschedule may be permitted if requested within the notice period defined in your contract. Short-notice changes may incur fees. If your event is postponed due to circumstances beyond either party's control (including severe weather, government restrictions, venue closure, or illness certified by a medical professional), we will work with you in good faith to move coverage to a new date or provide credit toward future services, as detailed in your contract.
We are not liable for failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, civil unrest, strikes, epidemics, utility failures, or transportation disruptions, provided we notify you promptly and use reasonable efforts to mitigate impact.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for obtaining permissions for us to work at venues, including photography and videography rights from venue management, religious institutions, or property owners. You must inform us of any rules regarding flash, drone use, noise, or time limits.
You agree to treat our team with respect and to provide a safe working environment free from harassment or discrimination. We may withdraw from an assignment without refund of completed work if crew safety or dignity is threatened.
For group events, you should designate a point of contact who can help coordinate family formals and key moments. While we capture candid moments proactively, we cannot guarantee specific individuals will appear in final deliverables if they avoid coverage or if schedules change without notice.
7. Intellectual property and usage rights
Unless your contract grants otherwise, Unik Studio retains copyright in all photographs, films, and creative materials we produce. You receive a personal licence to use delivered files for non-commercial purposes such as sharing with family, social media, and home printing.
Commercial use—including advertising, resale, stock licensing, or brand campaigns—requires written permission and may involve additional licensing fees. You may not edit, filter, or crop our work in ways that misrepresent our brand without consent, except for minor social cropping where customary.
We may display selected work in our portfolio, website, awards submissions, and marketing unless you have requested confidential treatment in writing before the event. We respect reasonable privacy requests for sensitive events.
Raw, unedited footage or unprocessed files are not included in standard packages unless explicitly purchased. Delivered files are provided in agreed formats and resolutions suitable for their intended use.
8. Delivery timelines and backups
Estimated delivery timelines for previews, galleries, and final films are communicated during booking. Timelines begin after the event, once any outstanding payments are received, and may extend if you request significant additional editing beyond scope.
You are responsible for downloading and backing up delivered files within the gallery access period stated in your agreement. While we maintain reasonable internal backups for a limited time, we are not a long-term archive service and may delete working files after delivery and backup periods expire.
If technical corruption occurs on our side before delivery, we will attempt recovery from backups. We are not liable for loss caused by third-party platform outages after files have been successfully delivered to you.
9. Website use
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, scrape content in violation of robots rules, introduce malware, overload infrastructure, or use the site to transmit spam or misleading enquiries.
Content on this website—including text, images, logos, and layout—is owned by Unik Studio or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute site content for commercial purposes without permission.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for external content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Our website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose except where they cannot be excluded.
Our total aggregate liability arising from any booking or use of the website is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law (including certain consumer protection statutes).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, emotional distress, or loss of data, except where prohibited by law. This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Equipment failure, memory card issues, or transmission errors are rare but possible in live event work. Our contracts typically include reasonable remedies such as partial refunds or reshoots where appropriate; catastrophic total loss remedies are defined in your signed agreement.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unik Studio, its directors, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of deliverables, violation of venue rules, or infringement of third-party rights caused by materials or instructions you provide.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer forum or arbitration clause in your signed service contract.
We prefer to resolve concerns amicably. Please contact us first at [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] or +91 98183 61412 with a clear description of the issue. We will endeavour to respond within a reasonable time and work toward a fair solution.
